臭氧的使用及發展簡要歷史

1840 年，臭氧被發現，且因其獨特氣味而命名。
1906 年，法國尼斯市是設立全球第一座臭氧凈水廠。
1937 年，美國出現第一座使用臭氧處理的商業游泳池。
1940 年，美國印第安納州首度使用臭氧凈水處理。
1975 年，全美超過 1000 臭氧除臭裝置被安裝在污水處理場。
1982 年，瓶裝水開始使用臭氧殺菌。
1984 年，所有奧運的競賽泳池全部以臭氧處理。
1989 年，美國環保署頒布地表水處理法規(The Surface Water Treatment Rules) 納入臭氧殺菌CT值規范。
2000 年，全美約有300座自來水廠使用臭氧輔助處理水質。
2001 年，美國FDA正式核準臭氧可以和食品接觸，作為微生物抑制劑。
